This archive now contains 52 pictures taken in New York, Tokyo, Yokohama, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Osaka, Paris and London. In the near future we will publish unique photo and video material from the World Trade Center in New York City before the 911 attack. The High-Rise Pages owns unique footage of the inside of the World Trade Center, years before its destruction.

The showpieces of our collection; The New York WTC;
the most exciting and powerful buildings this world has ever known!
These pictures of the World Trade Center were taken in 1994. The picture on the left was taken from the Empire State Building in Mid Manhattan. The picture on the right was taken from the Circle Line, the ship that sails the scenic route around Manhattan. These pictures of the former World Trade Center were taken in a time that terrorism and security were not much of an issue. We managed to enter the inside of the World Trade Center at night without any security check whatsoever. This material will be published soon on The High-Rise Pages.

The pictures above show the amazing city of Osaka in Japan. I visited Osaka in 1993. The greater Osaka area (consisting of Osaka, Kyoto and Kobe, has about the size of Los Angeles and houses about 12 million people! Note that Osaka-Kyoto-Kobe is only the second largest urban area in Japan!

All 3 pictures show downtown Osaka as seen from the 32nd floor of the Hankyu Grand Building. The picture in the left is a view to the north-west and shows the Osaka station in front, and the 50-story Umeda Sky Center in the back. The pictures in the middle and the right are views to the south and the east.

Canary Wharf Tower in the London Docklands dwarfs any other building in London. The picture on the right shows the famous view north from Greenwich that, according to HRH The Prince of Wales, is 'wrecked' by Canary Wharf Tower.

Images of the financial district of London, known as the 'City of London', taken from Saint Paul's Cathedral. The tallest building in the picture on the left is the NatWest Tower. NatWest was the tallest building in the UK before completion of Canary Wharf Tower. The 3 skyscrapers in the picture on the right are part of the Barbican Centre, a huge complex that contains a theatre, a concert hall, shops and apartments.

Barbican Centre and NatWest Tower.

Tower Bridge, Saint Paul's Cathedral and the Clock Tower of the Houses of Parliament. These are the buildings that defined the London skyline until the early sixtees. The Clock Tower is known as 'Big Ben', wich actually is the name of the clock that is situated in the upper part of the tower.
